Rollie Zavada, age 98, passed away last month. He was a highly credentialed Kodak employee who consulted with the ARRB on Zapruder film authenticity. His obituary may be found here.
Webmaster note: I only found out about this very sad news today when I called his wife, Carol, to check on Rollie's condition, as I knew he suffered from a bad stroke shortly after my November presentation on Z-film alteration. I had the honor and pleasure of spending a day with Rollie and Carol shortly before his stroke. I found them both to be not only intelligent but also warm, kind, and very honest. Rollie led an exemplary life. During one of my many calls with Rollie after my visit, the research community may be a little surprised to learn that he mentioned (without my questioning) that he believed there was a conspiracy. As an avid aviator, he has taken his final ascent. Our deepest condolences to Carol and their family.
